Itinerary Detail
DAY 1: ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, drive from Arusha with a lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drives. Start the game drive through the underground water forest, proceed to Acacia woodland savanna open land, pass by a hot water spring, and proceed to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is home to many flamingos and other water birds. The park is home to tree-climbing lions, hippos, elephants, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, baboons, blue and velvet monkeys, warthogs, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded here. You will have a picnic lunch then game en route to the main gate and drive to Octagon Lodge for dinner and overnight Octagon Lodge.
DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast, depart from Octagon Lodge and drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim. and then descend into the crater floor for a game drive. All the big five (rhino, lion, buffalo, and elephant) live in this wonderful caldera. Others that live here are zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda Lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more. Your lunch will be served at the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok Swamp, a Hippo pool. Today you enjoy a full day of game viewing at the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Then dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.
DAY 3: NGORONGORO – NDUTU
After breakfast, you leave the lodge with the lunch box and drive to Lake Ndutu for a full game drive to explore the Great Migration in the southern Serengeti and northern Ngorongoro which is the Ndutu Area. In the afternoon we stop at the bush for Lunch, and after lunch, we continue the evening game drive until sunset time then we drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ndutu Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp.
DAY 4: LAKE NDUTU – SERENGETI
You will have an early morning breakfast then drive to the great Serengeti National Park with lunch and game drives en route. During your afternoon game drive in the park, you might see lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocodile, and more. Lots of birds including the migrants. Proceed with game viewing around Seronera or eastward, dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Heritage Camps.
DAY 5: FULL GAME DRIVE SERENGETI
After breakfast we start a day with the morning game drives in Serengeti National Park marveling at the stunning scenery, ever-changing light, and always entertaining wildlife, all explained to you by your expert guide With the option of picnic or hot lunch at 12:30 am. After lunch, we set off again for afternoon game drives that took us till sunset at 06:30 PM. Then we head back to camp for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camps.
DAY 6: SERENGETI – LAKE NATRON
Wake up for early morning in Serengeti for morning game drives then head towards Lake Natron. There are rugged mountains where vultures soar and baboons bark, dusty gorges where the Masai bring their cattle to drink, and endless grassy plains. Arrive at Lake Natron in the evening approximately around 4:30 pm for dinner and overnight at Lengai Safari Lodge.
DAY 7: LAKE NATRON – ARUSHA
Early in the morning before breakfast at therise, you will enjoy the spectacular toutour of the Soda Lake of Natron and the beautiful waterfall flowing from the highlands toward the direction of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lake Natron is lying in a beautiful scenic area below the Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Natron has such a high concentration of sodium, that the water is often viscous to the touch. There is good game viewing and birding in this harsh landscape with dry country species such as gerenuk, lesser kudu, and Oryx. Natron is also the only known breeding ground for East Africa’s millions of lesser flamingos which cover the lake between August and November. After that, you will drive back to the camp to have a heavy brunch then Drive back to Arusha.
