Itinerary Detail
DAY 1: ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
On arrival at the Kilimanjaro Airport be received and transferred by your guide to the stunning Lake Manyara National Lodge in the Lake Manyara National Park.
DAY 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
DAY 3: FULL GAME DRIVE AT SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After waking up early at your lodge as you prepare for a morning game drive around Serengeti National Park. You will look out for wildlife species like lions, leopards, rhinos, impalas, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, hippos, kudu, dik-dik, and elephants among others. You will have lunch after your morning game drive.
You will engage in another game drive around Serengeti National Park on the 2nd day of your safari as you search for wildlife species like the big 5 as you enjoy the safari in the national park. You will return to your lodge after your game drive for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER
Early morning game drive at Serengeti. After breakfast will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and go for an afternoon Nature Walk (depending on weather conditions) at the Northern Crater Rim of Ngorongoro Crater inhabited by buffaloes, elephants, baboons, monkeys, and different species of birds. Escorted by a ranger or Maasai Guide you follow animal paths through dense.
DAY 5: NGORONGORO CRATER TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast,t we depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch, we do an afternoon game drive.
DAY 6: TARANGIRE TO ZANZIBAR
We enjoy an early morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at the lodge. We will then transfer to the airport ready to transfer to Zanzibar.
DAY 7 – 11: ZANZIBAR
On the island you will be received and transferred by road and later by boat to the stunning MnembaIsland Lodge. This Lodge is located on a private island only 4.5 km / 2.8 miles off Zanzibar’s northeastern tip. in the blue Indian Ocean. Bordered by spectacular coral reefs, it prides itself on some of the most magnificent diving spots in Africa. Mnemba is prominent as one of the most passionate destinations in the ocean throughout the world, providing a solitude and very private ambiance on the beautiful African coastline. Enjoy the days’ of scuba-diving, salt-water fly-fishing snorkeling, windsurfing, and kayaking directly at the beach at no extra cost. Perfect bird watching, as well as beautiful walks can be done around the beautiful Island or just sun tanning on the immaculate beach.
Alternative add-ons include deep-sea fishing, diving- courses, a tour around the very old ‘Spice Island’ of Zanzibar, plus a diversity of soothing massages as well as treatments.
DAY 12: DEPARTURE
