Itinerary Detail

DAY 1: ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at around 07:30 am and drive on a tarmac road 38km to Arusha National Park (552 Km2) with a packed lunch. Over 400 species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. A combination of the forest reserve, the Momella Lakes and the Ngurdoto crater does the magic. A closer look at the birds can be arranged with a walking Safari or canoeing. Over 400 species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. Momella Lake is one of the best places in Tanzania to see waterbirds, flamingos, pelicans, little grebe, a variety of herons, ducks, and waders are common. Also Hart lab, turaco, eagles, Lesser & Greater Flamingos, p orchards, geese, hammer Kop, red shark, spur-winged goose, woodpecker, secretary bird, grey parrot. Other animals such as Zebras, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Waterbucks, Colobus monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Baboons, and many others reside here. Dinner and overnight at The Charity Hotel.

DAY 2: ARUSHA – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we started a safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time thousands of animals- wildebeest, buffalo, and Oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards, and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Burunge Tented Lodge.

DAY 3: FULL GAME DRIVE AT TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, I started a full game drive in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time thousands of animals- wildebeest, buffalo, and Oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards, and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Burunge Tented Lodge.

DAY4: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast,t we drive on a tarmac road 40km with a lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drives. Start the game drive through the underground water forest, proceed to Acacia woodland savanna open land, pass by a hot water spring, and proceed to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is home to many flamingos and other water birds. The park is home to tree-climbing lions, hippos, elephants, zebra, buffalo, giraffes, baboons, blue and velvet monkeys, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded here. You will have a picnic lunch, dinner, and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge.

DAY 5: LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI

After early breakfast we leave for Serengeti National Park, driving through the Ngorongoro conservation area, with the option of visiting Olduvai Gorge (known as the cradle of mankind the hominids dating 2 million years back). The game drive takes us to the vast Serengeti plains, home of the big game animals, the predators, great migration, and the Nile crocodiles .06:30 pm At sunset you are driven for dinner and overnight to Katikati Tented Camp.

DAY 6: FULL GAME DRIVER T SERENGETI

After breakfast we start the day with the morning game drives in Serengeti National Park marveling at the stunning scenery ever-changing light and always entertaining wildlife, all explained to you by your expert guide With the option of picnic or hot lunch at 12:30 am. After lunch, we set off again for afternoon game drives that took us till sunset at 06:30 PM. When we drive to the Camp for dinner and overnight at Katikati Tented Camp.

DAY 7:  NORTHERN SERENGETI (KOGATENDE)

Drive to Serengeti Savannah Mara Camp with en route game viewing; after early lunch continue game-viewing in the Serengeti. Undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, the Serengeti is home to the highest density of animals in the world as well as being unrivaled for its natural beauty, diversity, and scientific value. During your daily game drive, you’ll witness the annual ancient drama of life, death, and rebirth in this primeval wilderness Overnight at Mara Katikati Tented Camp.

DAY 8: FULL GAME DRIVER AT THE NORTHERN SERENGETI (KOGATENDE)

Today you will leave after breakfast and with a lunch packet, you will drive as you follow the migration paths depending on the location. We will spend the day following the great migration of about 1.5 million Wildebeests and 500,000 Zebras migrating through the Serengeti Ecosystem. Dangers are everywhere and packs of lions, cheetahs, and other carnivores are everywhere waiting for the right moment to strike. Crocodiles in the Serengeti River have no mercy as the herds cross the river. Thousands are swept by the arrogant waters and the scenes are amazing. Later in the early evening, you will drive to Mara Katikati Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: FULL GAME DRIVER AT THE NORTHERN SERENGETI (KOGATENDE)

After breakfast follows ma morning and afternoon game drive in the migration point area to see the crossing point. In the afternoon, we will continue with game viewing to the northeast of the park. This is the Kogatende area where you will have a Dinner and overnight at Mara Katikati Tented camp.

DAY 10: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast, depart from Serengeti Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Wake up for early morning game drives in Serengeti then head back to the campsite for breakfast. You will then check out and drive with lunch and game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Crater Rim for dinner and overnight in Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

DAY 11: NGORONGORO CRATER – LAKE EYASI

Leave a 6:00 am from the camp in the morning just after breakfast, and drive to the crater for another day of game drives highlights include the rare spotted black rhino, big game animals, and the the stunning crater floor, Stop at the picnic site for lunch at 2:00 PM and after lunch make game en route to Ascent the Crater and drive to lake Eyasi to visitingBushmann tribe. Arrive at 05:00 PM. Take time to visit Lake Eyasi for sunset then drive back for dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

DAY 12: NGORONALAKE EYASI – MTO WA MBUGORO CRATER – LAKE EYASI

Early in the morning before breakfast we leave the Camp and go to visit The Hadzabe people which is an original hunter-gatherer population of Africa. Get the history from the guide who speaks the same language and go hunting with them after that we visit another tribe called Taturu sometimes known as Mang’ati who still live in their traditional way. Then drive back to the Camp for breakfast and lunch together Later drive to the Mto wa Mmbu area for an overnight at Octagon Lodge.

DAY 13: WALKING TOUR – LAKE NATRON

After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara Area for a walking safari at Mto wa Mmbu village. Visit 120 Tanzanian tribes and learn how they can live together without conflict. Visit the local brew and the farm of rice. After that, you will finish with a visit to the Masai tribe. Then drive to Lake Natron for dinner and overnight at Lake Natron Safari Lodge.

DAY 14: LAKE NATRON – ARUSHA

Early in the morning before breakfast at sunrise, you will enjoy the spectacular tour of the Soda Lake of Natron and the beautiful waterfall flowing from the highlands toward the direction of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lake Natron is lying in a beautiful scenic area below the Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Natron has such a high concentration of sodium, that the water is often viscous to the touch. There is good game viewing and birding in this harsh landscape with dry country species such as gerenuk, lesser kudu, and Oryx. Natron is also the only known breeding ground for East Africa’s millions of lesser flamingos which cover the lake between August and November. After that,t you will drive back to the camp to have a heavy brunch then Drive back to Arusha.
